For a Catholic Christian marriage undoubtedly of paramount importance, and is heard in a special way. In every age this sacrament has been treated in many encyclicals, documents and papal bulls, who have always praised the ethical and religious values. More recently, the canonical marriage has been decreed by the Italian Episcopal Conference, on the orders of Pope John Paul II, and has been in force since February 1991. Split into several articles, the decree deals with the preparation and celebration of the marriage canon, the measures required to marry, the separation of spouses, of nullity of marriage, marriage is not consummated by the pantry and more. The Decree is published in the official organ of the Italian Episcopal Conference.
